Indian Farmers Fertilizer Co-operative Ltd. (IFFCO) has confirmed issuance of huge quantity of purchase of Woven Bags to Plastene India Ltd during June 07 & Nov 07. IFFCO, perhaps the biggest fertilizer manufacturing company in India, is probably the biggest consumer of Woven Bags. As per the Purchase Order issued after successful bidding in Tender 098, Plastene India Ltd will supply 2.41 Crores Woven Bags, value worth 0.3 billion INR during the period to various units of IFFCO such as Kalol, Kandla, Paradeep.

This is perhaps the landmark achievement by any woven bag manufacturing company in India. After this, Plastene India Ltd will be the top supplier with highest number of bag supply to Iffco. This will definitely boost the company’s confidence to see more growth in days to come.

Plastene India Ltd. is expanding its wings by commencing full fledge production of Multilayer & Monolayer Co-extruded films & Pouches. It is noted that company is one of the biggest manufacturer of FIBC & Woven Bags.

Company has installed 03 latest design Multilayer Blown Film Lines, incorporating latest technological advancements, which are designed for absolute ease of operation and are the product of engineering excellence having special features like grooved feed sections, barrier screws, oscillating platform/oscillating haul-off, stackable die, internal bubble cooling, fully automatic surface winder and thickness monitoring system, which can help to produce bags with minimum weight variation and better uniform strength.

Company has also installed 8 color, Rotogravure Printing Machine with Print speed upto 200 m/min with following features

• Shafted printing cylinders or shaft less printing cylinders with chucking.
  
• Optional Quick changeover trolleys.
  
• Automatic flying splice on unwind/rewind.

The company has already commenced the production & at initial stage only various FMCG, Packaged Food Producingcompanies, Salt Companies & Shopping Malls have placed orders for their sourcing of bags/pouches.
